DESCRIPTION:APPLICATION DEADLINE: Wednesday\, JULY 21 at 12:00 noon\nAPPLICATION LINK: https://www.islandspacefl.org/programs\nIsland SPACE and IPC Visual Lab are inviting aspiring photographers in Broward County with a love of Caribbean culture to a two-day workshop series. Underwritten by the Broward Cultural Division\, the workshops will be hosted at Island SPACE Caribbean Museum\, and led by award winning photographers C.W. Griffin and Carl Juste. \nTwelve students will be selected based on a review of their amateur portfolio\, availability and willingness to complete all classes and course work. There will be two classes — Saturday\, July 24 & Saturday\, August 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The first component will focus on technique\, equipment and artistry. Between sessions\, students must capture images of Caribbean American life in their environments executing their new skill sets. The second workshop will include a review the submitted course work\, feedback and a selection of the best pieces to be exhibited in the Island SPACE Caribbean Museum gallery from August 19th- 29th. \nStudents will be encouraged to invite family and friends to view their displayed work.
