About The Artists

Sophia LaCroix

Born and raised in Haiti, artist, Sophia Lacroix migrated to the U.S. at the age of 15 in the mid-1980s. Her art reflects her love of hyper-realism, inspired by artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt, and her favorite Haitian contemporary realist, Franck Louissaint. She creates bright, hyper-realistic oil paintings and charcoal drawings of scenes-of-everyday-life inspired by her nostalgia and memories of Haiti and by the people around her in South Florida where she has lived most of her life.

Annick Duvivier Ligonde

A Haitian-born, Miami-based artist known for her captivating mixed media paintings. She explores diverse themes in her art like the awareness and protection of nature and femininity

Dominique Ambroise

A Haitian artist crafting mesmerizing abstract paintings in the vibrant city of Miami. Her art is a unique blend of Haitian heritage and contemporary flair, celebrating cultural fusion and the beauty of abstraction. Each piece is a visual symphony, where colors collide and shapes intertwine to evoke a sense of wonder and where every stroke tells a story.

Garry Laurent

Garry Laurent is from Petion Ville, Haiti and began drawing at the young age of 4. When he was twenty-one, he met a great Haitian painter Ralph Allen, who taught him various color techniques which he now implements in his modern style of painting. Laurent’s vision with his art is to evoke happiness, joy and an overall feel-good spirit in everyone who views his work.

Claudia Apaid

A Haitian American artist whose artistic expression is an eclectic fusion of mixed media, beautifully entwined with handcrafted embroideries and intricate metal works. Claudia’s unique pieces come to life through the harmonious marriage of hand-stitched embroidery techniques, adorned with sequins, crystals, glass beads, precious stones, textiles, and metal elements.
