Reimagining Emancipation Exhibition

July 16, 2022 @ 11:00 am - September 11, 2022 @ 7:00 pm

Reimagining Emancipation Installation

The Island SPACE Caribbean Museum is excited to present “Reimagining Emancipation” a look into the journey to and through Emancipation.
Annually on August 1, the “British” West Indies celebrates the moment in 1834 when they were granted emancipation from slavery. This year, as we examine the history and our current realities, the museum has developed programming to educate and engage the public on this pivotal moment in Caribbean history. As such, our aim is to tell the collective story of the region while educating and inspiring the Caribbean people, the diaspora and those who have a love for the region and its people.

This exhibit will be on display from July 16th to September 11th, 2022.

Opening Hours: Thursday through Saturday from 11:00am to 7:00pm, Sunday from 11:00am to 6:00pm.
Cost: $10 Adults / $5 Children (Included with General Museum Entry)
