Sound di Abeng: An Evening of Reasoning with Maroon Chief Richard Currie

May 25 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The State of Accompong in partnership with Island SPACE Caribbean Museum invites you to attend a meet and greet with Paramount Chief Richard Currie from the Cockpit Country.

Chief Currie is eager to share information about the Indigenous Maroon culture with the Caribbean diaspora.

We will host a panel discussion with esteemed Indigenous guests to dive into Maroon history and its relevance today, correcting the narrative and addressing the challenges and accomplishments of the Accompong Maroons.

Most importantly, the Chief will share his vision for building and fortifying relationships within local and international Indigenous communities through culture and empowerment.

We invite you to contribute, as proceeds will go towards our Accompong Back to School Scholarship Fund and Community Development Fund.
