Located in the heart of Broward County, Florida, Island SPACE offers an immersive experience that allows students to explore the rich heritage of the Caribbean islands, fostering a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures and histories of the region.
An Engaging Learning Experience
Visiting the Island Space Museum was a fantastic experience, especially with children, as it allowed us to explore part of our family history and see artifacts from the past, along with some still in use today.
Designed for students of all ages, Island SPACE captivates students as they journey through the stories of Caribbean peoples—from ancient indigenous cultures to the vibrant, modern Caribbean community that thrives today.
From the history of sugar plantations, to exploring Caribbean music, or discovering the influence of Caribbean leaders on global culture, the stories we tell are designed to spark curiosity and provide learning opportunities aligned with educational standards.
Representative Exhibits: Students can engage artifacts and information that tells their own histories or those of their classmates.
Educational Workshops & Programs: Our tailor-made programs help students dive deeper into subjects such as Caribbean history, art, music, and literature.
Hands-On Activities: From arts and crafts to dance and storytelling, hands-on activities ensure a memorable, impactful experience for all students.
